110.999 Primary Care Services, Access to:
It is the position of MSSNY that a patient’s access to primary care services provided by a physician should not be limited by the specialty or subspecialty designation of the physician, but should be determined by the training, competence, and experience of the physician to provide primary care services, and that health plans should allow physicians with the appropriate qualifications to elect to provide primary, specialty and subspecialty care services.
