150.970 Compensation for Emergency Department Coverage:
MSSNY recommends that hospitals utilizing voluntary physicians to provide coverage for emergency departments provide appropriate compensation for these services in a manner consistent with Advisory Opinions issued by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and, also, that voluntary physicians should not be required by hospitals to provide emergency department coverage without compensation.
