150.999 Medical Staff Criteria:
The policy of the Medical Society of the State of New York is that admission to a hospital medical staff should be on an individual basis, after an impartial review of the applicant’s qualifications by the medical staff credentialing committee. Such impartial review should serve as the basis for the hospital Board of Trustees’ final determination upon request for appointment to the medical staff, and that membership in any group affiliated with the hospital shall be a substitute for review of the individual’s qualifications.
