160.965 Tying Maintenance of Licensure to Maintenance of Certification
All physicians still in practice should be encouraged and enjoined to participate in activities to improve and maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to render the highest quality of care to his/her patients. MSSNY strongly opposes any effort by the State of New York to require certification by any medical specialty board as a condition of obtaining or renewing the registration of a medical license in the State of New York.
