195.911 Care Management and Social Workers
MSSNY will advocate for legislation that requires private insurers, Medicaid Managed Care Plans, and Medicare Advantage Plans to have both care managers and social workers assigned to provide services to all patients enrolled in their plans. MSSNY will also advocate for legislation that requires private insurers, Medicaid Managed Care Plans, and Medicare Advantage Plans to compensate physicians whose practices administer care management and/or social workers services to patients enrolled in their plans. A copy of this resolution will be sent to the American Medical Association for consideration at its next House of Delegates.
