260.878 Safety Concerns Regarding Inadequate Labeling of Food Products Upon Ingredient Changes with Know Major Food Allergens
The Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) supports legislation or regulation that any repackaging entity verify with the food manufacturer/distributor as an ordinary and routine transaction of commerce that no major food allergen ingredient changes have occurred.
MSSNY supports legislation or regulation requiring major food allergen ingredient changes be labeled and packaged with accentuated, obvious warning labeling identifying such change.
A copy of this resolution will be transmitted to the AMA for consideration at its House of Delegates. (HOD 2024 – 152)
