270.962 Eliminate the Word “Provider” from Healthcare Contracts
The Medical Society of the State of New York will seek legislation to ensure that all references to physicians in government and insurance contracts, agreements, published descriptions, and printed articles eliminate the word “provider” and substitute the accurate and proper term “physician.” This resolution is to be forwarded to all health insurers and state, local, and federal agencies to urge their compliance.
