285.994 Eliminating Religious Discrimination from Residency Programs:
MSSNY encourages the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to require that all residency programs become aware of and make an effort to ensure that residents be allowed to practice in a manner that does not interfere with their religious convictions, including observance of religious holidays and observances, assuming that patient care is not compromised; and that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the American Medical Association for consideration at its House of Delegates.
