90.999 Radioactive Waste, Disposal of Low Level:
MSSNY supports low-level radioactive waste disposal providing it contains the following principles: (1) A disposal site must be promptly identified; (2) Low level wastes should be segregated from high level wastes; (3) Long term monitoring of such disposal must be included (4) The costs of such disposal must be borne by those disposing of the wastes; (5) The environment and the health, safety and welfare of those inhabiting nearby areas must be protected.
