The Medical Society of the State of New York will rescind MSSNY Policy 95.989
MSSNY supports legislation such as the medical aid in dying act.
Physicians should continue to retain their choice to opt-in or decline to engage in the processes and procedures as outlined in any proposed medical aid in dying legislation. (HOD 2024 – 171; Reaffirmed HOD 2025)
