117.980 Shared Savings and I-STOP
The Medical Society of the State of New York will urge the New York State Department of Health and Department of Financial Services to require health insurers to identify cost savings they have experienced as a result of compliance with the I-STOP law, and that the savings accrued through the use of the I-STOP law be directed toward the development and distribution of electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic prescribing resources which are to be made available to active MSSNY members for use in electronic prescribing and the development of a secure central prescription registry.
