250.988 Professional Misconduct Reform
The Medical Society of the State of New York amend MSSNY Policy 250.988 as follows:
MSSNY will support regulation and/or legislation that moves investigation of complaints, conduct of hearing, and discipline of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives from the New York State Education Department Office of the Professions to the Office of Professional Medical Conduct while maintaining the requirement that there be a supermajority of physicians on the Board for Professional Medical Conduct.
