120.868 Ensuring Fair Reimbursement Rates for Physicians in New York
The Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) advocate for legislation and regulatory measures that prohibit commercial insurance companies from reimbursing physicians at rates lower than those established by the 80th percentile of Fair Health.
MSSNY supports initiatives aimed at monitoring and enforcing compliance with these reimbursement standards to protect the financial stability of medical practices and the quality of patient care in New York State.
MSSNY work with state legislators, the New York State Department of Financial Services, and other relevant stakeholders to develop and implement policies that ensure commercial insurance reimbursement rates are at least equal to the 80th percentile of Fair Health rates. MSSNY supports initiatives aimed at monitoring and enforcing compliance with these reimbursement standards to protect the financial stability of medical practices and the quality of patient care in New York State.
