The Medical Society of the State of New York seek legislation or regulation resulting in increased insurance reimbursement rates for physicians who care for children and young adults including pediatricians, and other primary care physicians such as family practice and office-based internal medicine physicians.
The Medical Society of the State of New York support legislation or regulation and policy initiatives aimed at ensuring sustainable funding for primary care and pediatric services to address current and future workforce shortages.
The Medical Society of the State of New York engage with relevant stakeholders, including insurers, healthcare systems, and policymakers, to develop and implement strategies that recognize and reward the essential role of pediatricians, pediatric specialists, and other primary care physicians in promoting health and reducing hospitalizations.
